Goodbye to the wet walls?

The professional or facade painter often faces the difficult challenge of having to combat capillary humidity with assurance, especially in masonry walls (interior or exterior), in old rural buildings and another situations where the coating adhesion to the surface is somewhat complicated and even compromised. We all remember some cases of this similar nature.

The best traditional acrylic coatings and elastomers for facades quickly succumb to the push of moisture and its degrading effects on the surface. Fortunately, these situations are or should be "things of the past." PINTURAS DECOLOR offers you a serious solution with a 10-year guarantee for this kind of situations. It is our DECOLITE HYDRO.

DECOLITE HYDRO

What's it all about? What we have here is a smooth coating based on Hydro-Pliolite resin suitable for the decoration and protection of all kinds of masonry surfaces in general.
It is a combination of high moisture repellency with excellent water vapour permeability and a perfect penetration and fixing to the surface.

Features:

  • Excellent waterproofing and high breathability.
  • Resistant to outdoor conditions and sunlight.
  • Excellent levelling and broaching
  • Resistant to alkalinity and atmospheric agents.
  • Resistant to abrasion and rubbing
  • Stable and light resistant pigments.
  • Fungicide-algicide.
  • Odourless.

DECOLITE HYDRO can be applied with brush, roller or by spray gun. For its dilution and utensils and tools cleaning, use water.

Fields of application:

  • Make sure that the surface to be treated is perfectly dry and there is no dust, oxides or grease.
  • Make an adequate priming.

Unpainted surfaces:

Masonry in general: First coat 10% with water to improve the consistency and durability of the coating. As a finish, apply two coats of DECOLITE HYDRO diluted to 5%.

Painted surfaces:

If the paint previously applied was not breathable, it must be completely removed so that the system can reach its optimum properties.

If there are any fungi or algae formations, they must be completely removed before applying the product.

In case there is saltpetre (saline efflorescences):

  • Brush and wash with hydrochloric acid diluted at 10% water.
  • Rinse with water to completely remove the acid.
  • Leave it completely to dry before starting to paint.

If the paint is in a good condition, you only have to wash and sand it. Then, apply a first coat of DECOLITE HYDRO diluted at 15% with water. To finish, apply two coats of DECOLITE HYDRO diluted between 5%-10% with water.

General technical recommendations:

  • Apply at temperatures between 5ºC and 35ºC.
  • Do not apply in broad daylight or with elevated surface temperatures.
  • Perfectly homogenize the product before applying it.

And keep in mind that DECOLITE HYDRO has a guarantee certificate for 10 years.
