The Spanish Chemical Agency (ECHA) has proposed to restrict the use of microplastics in products. One of the proposed obligations would be to report annually the amounts of microplastics placed on the market by the manufacturers of any product.

CEPE tries to show the unnecessaryness of this obligation by demonstrating the commitment to reduce these pollutants from the original source of emissions, in the case of paints, the cleaning of tools by consumers and professionals.
To this end, the development of a guide on cleaning brushes and rollers has been encouraged. The ASEFAPI technical commission has prepared a version adapted to the Spanish market that you can find attached. We ask for the widest dissemination.
