Compared to the rest of the epoxy systems that are made of two components, Decolor has developed an innovative system of single component water based that does not need to be mixed with a catalyst. Therefore, we are talking about a pre-catalyzed coating that is easy to use, which allows it to be applied by both professionals and individuals. Likewise, while two-component systems have to be applied in a short period of time after catalysis (about 40 minutes), DECO-EPOXI AQUA 1C You are not limited to any pot life and the product can be saved for later application.

What advantages does it present compared to other epoxies?

It is such a new product that there is none on the market with which it can be compared on equal terms. We have to analyze the advantages that this single-component system can provide compared to two-component ones:

How to apply it?

You can apply Deco-Epoxi 1 Component with a brush, roller or spray gun.

First, you must clean the surface from all the dirt and dust it may have and remove rust stains, grease, etc.. We recommend you delete them with Deco-Cleaning Plus.

If the surface to be painted is cement or concrete, the latter must be set and 1 month must have elapsed since its application. The roughness must be adequate, so we recommend prepare it with a diamond sander or shot blasting machine. We will treat the surface with salfumán (hydrochloric acid) diluted 10-15%, rinse and let it dry.

Once dry, we will continue preparing the surface with FLOOR PRIMER AQUA, to facilitate the adherence of subsequent layers. After 24 hours, we can apply DECO-EPOXI AQUA 1C diluting a maximum of 5% with water.

If the surface to be painted is metallic, we must eliminate the oxidized areas by manual or mechanical brushing. Then, we will apply 2 layers of AQUA ANTICORROSIVE EPOXY PRIMER or AQUA POLIVALENT PRIMER and after drying we can apply DECO-EPOXI AQUA 1C.
